Job summary

MAXAM Australia specialises in supplying explosives and related services and is seeking a Plant Operator for our Bajool, QLD manufacturing plant. The role involves working outdoors in varied weather, supporting safe and efficient production, and reporting to the Site Supervisor.

This hands-on position requires a strong safety mindset, reliability, and the ability to work Monday–Friday 06:00–14:00 with occasional extra hours, including Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Open Driver’s Licence (essential)
• Police Clearance Certificate (essential)
• Forklift High Risk Work (HRW) Licence with experience operating forklifts (essential)

Responsibilities

• Assist with the safe and efficient delivery of day-to-day production services
• Loading and transfer of the products
• Handling and use of chemicals in accordance with procedures and legislation
• Maintaining high standards of safety, environmental compliance, and housekeeping
• Working collaboratively as part of a site-based production crew
• Adhering to all company, site, and regulatory requirements
