Job summary

Impact Drill & Blast is seeking a Plant Operator for our Marrakai site in the Northern Territory. You will perform production QA/QC checks, record material usage accurately, and assist the plant supervisor to deliver the weekly production schedule on time.

Additionally, you will help with environmental compliance, site security, safe handling of hazardous substances, and plant maintenance to meet regulatory requirements. Eligible applicants must be able to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence required.
• Construction white card holder required.
• Ability to work safely following health and safety policies (Take 5, risk assessments).
• Experience in quarrying/mining industry desirable.
• Experience in a manufacturing plant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completion of all required production QA and product QC checks.
• Conducting inspections and QC on packaged products; recording and reporting conformance to standards.
• Accurately record all raw material inventory and use.
• Assist the Marrakai plant supervisor to achieve effective management of environmental compliance and site security, including the delivery of the weekly production schedule on time and in full.
• Safe handling and storage all hazardous substances and dangerous goods on site.
• Assist with plant maintenance and servicing including SCE compliance and on time completion.

Impact Drill & Blast offers integrated drill and blast services to the quarrying, civil and mining sectors, covering every stage of the project from survey, blast design, mark out, drilling and bulk explosives supply to firing of blasts.

We are rapidly growing in this industry, as part of this growth our Marraki site, based in the Northern Territory, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Plant Operator to join their team

Key responsibilities will include:

• Completion of all required production QA and product QC checks.
• Conducting inspections and QC on packaged products; recording and reporting conformance to standards.

The successful applicant will have:

• Current drivers licence
• Construction white card
• Work safely and follow Health and Safety policies and procedures E.g Take 5, risk assessments
• Previous knowledge on the quarrying / mining industry is highly desirable
• Experience in a manufacturing plant
