Job summary

Toowoomba Regional Council seeks an operator with a Class C manual licence and MR licence (or willing to obtain within 12 months) to safely operate road-plant and heavy equipment from the Crows Nest Depot. The role offers permanent full-time employment, a nine-day fortnigh twork pattern, and competitive benefits including superannuation.

Qualifications

• Current C Class Manual Driver’s Licence is mandatory.
• MR Licence required or able to obtain within 12 months of appointment.
• WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for LR Road Roller (or equivalent) is required.
• White Card (WHS Competency) or CPCWHS1001 is required.
• Must complete Traffic Awareness Part 1 & 2 within 3 months if not already held.
• Substantial experience operating related plant, including Road Rollers.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant and equipment safely within the Toowoomba Region.
• Work in accordance with Council procedures and WHS requirements.
• Support day-to-day depot operations at Crows Nest Depot.
• Maintain records and contribute to team safety and efficiency.

About you

You’llhold, or be willing to obtain, the following mandatoryqualifications, training and experience, specific to theposition:

• Current 'C' ClassManual Driver’s Licence.
• Current unrestricted‘MR’ Medium Rigid Driver’s Licence, or ability to obtain within12 months of appointment.
• WHSCertificate of Competency or VOC for 'LR' Road Roller (>2Lengine capacity), or RII Competency (orequivalent).
• WHSCompetency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safelyin the construction industry, or equivalent.
• Working in Proximityto Traffic Awareness Part 1 and 2, or if not held, to beobtained within three (3) months of commencement.
• Substantial experiencein operating related plant, including operating a RoadRoller.
