Job summary

Maranoa Regional Council in Roma, Queensland, is recruiting multiple Plant Operator and Labourer positions across Yuleba, Surat, and regional locations. Workers will safely operate and maintain a range of council plant, perform mowing, irrigation, weed control, and assist with water operations and cemetery duties.

The roles include strong leave entitlements and flexible rosters to support work‑life balance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Council's parks, gardens, open spaces, streetscapes across Yuleba, Wallumbilla and Jackson.
• Undertake mowing, weed control, spraying, irrigation, landscaping and litter control.
• Inspect and undertake minor maintenance of waste facilities, playgrounds, showgrounds and other community assets.
• Assist with local water operations, including water meter reading and support to plumbing staff.
• Assist with cemetery operations, including burials and installation of plaques.
• Undertake general labouring across roads, footpaths, culverts, gutters, drains and other Council assets.
