Job summary

Scenic Rim Regional Council – Beaudesert QLD is seeking Plant Operators for multiple full-time positions in the Infrastructure Services team. Responsibilities include plant and streetsweeper operations in road construction and maintenance, plus general labouring under limited supervision.

Positions are based at various depots including Boonah, Beaudesert and Canungra, with potential work from other depots in the region. A C Class licence and General Construction Induction are required.

Qualifications

• Legally operate a motor vehicle with C Class licence; HR Class desirable.
• Current card for General Construction Induction.
• Substantial experience operating medium mechanical plant for construction and maintenance of infrastructure.
• Advanced knowledge of road construction and road maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate medium mechanical plant for road construction and maintenance.
• Carry out daily general labouring duties in a safe, efficient manner.
• Complete pre-start safety checks.
• Complete fault report sheets.
• Use of two-way radio equipment.

About this opportunity

Provide plant and streetsweeper operations in road construction, road maintenance and labouring duties under limited supervision as directed.

We are offering positions based at various Council depots including Boonah, Beaudesert and Canungra. However, you may be required to work from any of Council’s depots within the Scenic Rim Region.

• Perform at a high skill level in medium mechanical plant operations.
• Carry out daily general labouring duties in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
• Carry out a pre-start safety check list.
• Completion of fault report sheets.
• Use of two way radio equipment.

About you…

What’s in it for you?

This position comes with a base remuneration from $69,098.84, working a 38hr week, 9 day fortnight, and up to 13% employer superannuation contribution.
