Job summary

Maranoa Regional Council is seeking a hands-on plant operator to construct and maintain the region's road network. You will operate graders, rollers, loaders, excavators and backhoes, while ensuring safety, accurate servicing, and documentation.

About the position:

To construct and maintain Council’s road network and other assets to required service level standards through the provision of skilled plant operations, in particular Grader, Roller, Water and Gravel Haulage, Loader, Excavator, Backhoe operations and Labourer support.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake general labouring, worksite preparation and clean-up duties.
• Assist with traffic control signage and worksite setup in accordance with traffic control plans.
• Work as part of a multi-skilled team and provide support to other Council departments as required.
• Maintain accurate road construction, maintenance and plant documentation in accordance with Council requirements.
