Job summary

Boral Limited's Bacchus Marsh quarry is seeking a Plant Operator to join a high-performing team. You will operate fixed/washing plants (PLC) and quarry mobile plant, monitor production, and contribute to safety and quality on site.

You will undertake basic maintenance, stock reporting, and shift work while collaborating with a supportive team focused on continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Strong safety focus and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience operating loaders, excavators and dump trucks.
• Good computer skills for batching, reporting and stock management.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Availability to work shift work.

Responsibilities

• Operate fixed/washing plant and quarry mobile plant (including PLC use) safely.
• Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping duties, including shovelling and hosing.
• Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
• Engage in safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolbox talks and incident reporting.
• Manage daily administration such as stock control and reporting when required.
• Inspect and maintain plant equipment and trucks; ensure a safe work environment.

Your Next Opportunity

Based out of our Bacchus Marsh quarry, we have an exciting opportunities available for a Plant Operators to join our high performing and committed team.

As the newest member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking operational duties in a safe and responsible manner. You will also operate and maintain machinery, monitor production metrics, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

This role involves working shift work.

Your Day will involve:

• Safe operation of fixed/washing plant, including PLC use and other quarry mobile plant as required (Telehandlers etc.)
• Basic maintenance and housekeeping duties, including shovelling and hosing.
• Active participation in problem solving and continuous improvement activities
• Participation in safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes and incident reporting
• Managing daily administration, including stock control and reporting when required.
• Inspecting and maintaining plant equipment and trucks.
• General housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environment.

What we are looking for?
