Job summary

Boral Quarries in Bacchus Marsh, VIC, is seeking Plant Operators to join our high-performing team. You will safely operate fixed and mobile plant, including PLCs, and perform basic maintenance while monitoring production metrics and troubleshooting issues.

You will work shift patterns and participate in safety initiatives, contributing to continuous improvement. We offer training, career development, stability, and a competitive hourly rate with loadings in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate fixed/washing plant and quarry mobile plant (e.g., Telehandlers)
• Carry out basic maintenance and housekeeping tasks

• Manage daily administration, stock control and reporting

Job description

Based out of our Bacchus Marsh quarry, we have an exciting opportunities available for a Plant Operators to join our high performing and committed team.

As the newest member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking operational duties in a safe and responsible manner. You will also operate and maintain machinery, monitor production metrics, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

This role involves working shift work.

Your Day will involve:

• Safe operation of fixed/washing plant, including PLC use and other quarry mobile plant as required (Telehandlers etc.)
• Basic maintenance and housekeeping duties, including shovelling and hosing.
• Active participation in problem solving and continuous improvement activities
• Participation in safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes and incident reporting
• Managing daily administration, including stock control and reporting when required.
• Inspecting and maintaining plant equipment and trucks.
• General housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environment.

What we are looking for?

• A strong safety focus and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound computer skills for batching, reporting, and stock management.
• Proven experience operating machinery such as loaders, excavators and dump trucks.
