Job summary

Spinifex Recruiting are seeking Labourers/Operators to join a locally trusted government infrastructure division responsible for maintaining sewer and stormwater assets across the region. This hands-on role blends civil construction, plant operation and maintenance, with a focus on safety and community service.

The role offers full-time hours with fortnightly RDOs, local site work, and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction and plant operation across sewer, stormwater or utilities.
• Tickets and licences including excavator, HR/MR, confined space, working at heights and traffic control.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Job description

Spinifex Recruiting are searching for Labourers/Operators to join a well-established local government infrastructure division responsible for maintaining critical sewer and stormwater assets across the region.

This is an excellent opportunity for hands-on operators who enjoy a mix of civil construction, plant operation, maintenance work, and being part of a supportive team delivering essential community services.

The Role

Working within a Sewer & Stormwater Operations team, duties will include:

• Civil construction and maintenance activities
• Stormwater and drainage repairs
• Sewer infrastructure maintenance
• Operating plant and equipment
• Excavation and trenching activities
• Traffic management and site setup
• General labouring and asset maintenance
• Supporting emergency and reactive maintenance works
• Working safely within a team environment

Desired Experience & Tickets

We encourage applications from candidates with any combination of the following:

• Excavator ticket and operating experience
• HR or MR Truck Licence
• Jetter Truck experience highly regarded
• Confined Space Entry
