Job summary

Locale Civil is hiring for permanent Plant Operator roles in Shepparton, Victoria. You will contribute to essential utilities projects with a metro-based crew, performing safe excavation, trenching, backfilling and site prep in accordance with VESI standards.

The ideal candidate will hold VESI/VEDN accreditation, a current HR licence, a valid Driver's Licence, a White Card and relevant WorkSafe competencies, with proven plant operation experience on underground networks.

Qualifications

• Must hold current VESI/VEDN accreditation.
• Possess WorkSafe competencies or certificates relevant to plant/machinery.
• Demonstrated experience operating plant on underground utility networks.
• Possession of a current Driver's Licence.
• Possession of a current Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence.
• Construction Induction (White Card) holder.

Responsibilities

• Safe and precise excavation on underground power networks.
• Conduct trenching, backfilling and site preparation with accuracy.
• Work in accordance with VESI regulations and company safety procedures.
• Complete daily pre-starts, daily diaries, JSEAs and safety reporting.
• Collaborate with ground crews, supervisors and project managers.
