Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Mile End, Adelaide, is seeking a Plant Operator to support fixed plant production within our Asphalt team. You will be self-motivated and work closely with the Asphalt Production team to promote and grow our business.

Applicants should have experience with fixed plant operations, an HR forklift license, and a good understanding of industry standards. The role requires safe, efficient performance and adherence to maintenance schedules in a busy site environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with fixed plant production and asphalt preferred.
• Knowledge of industry standards and specs.
• Ability to work in a safe, high-quality, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Asphalt Production team to promote and grow the business.
• Carry out plant inspection check lists.
• Maintain a neat and tidy site and work area.
• Initiate and communicate ideas that improve efficiency, reduce waste and costs.
• Operate fixed Plant equipment and oversee maintenance tasks.
• Operate Forklift – High Risk License and ensure safety compliance.

What’s on offer?

Fulton Hogan’s Mile End Department is looking for a Plant Operator to join our team. The appointee will be self-motivated, have a keen interest in Fixed Plant Production and will work closely with the Asphalt Production team to promote and build our business.

Previous experience in a production environment with Asphalt is highly desired but not crucial. The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

• Knowledge of industry related standards and specifications
• Ability to work within tight deadlines in a safe and high-quality manner
• Carrying out Plant inspection check lists
• Maintaining a neat and tidy site and work area
• Initiating and communicating ideas that improve efficiency, reduce waste and costs
• Have experience in fixed Plant operations and maintenance
• Experienced in Operating a Forklift – High Risk License
• Actively participate in preventative maintenance, toolbox discussions and safety meetings

The pre-employment process will involve a medical check including drug and alcohol screening.
