Job summary

Western Power is seeking a reliable Plant Mechanic to maintain and repair mobile plant equipment at the Kewdale Depot. You will help ensure machinery operates safely and meets Australian Standards, working within a supportive team.

The role focuses on diagnosing faults, performing major repairs, and conducting preventive maintenance in a hands-on environment. WA licensing and HR/Dogging//EWP qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Base Trade qualification (AQF3) in Heavy Duty Mechanics, Fixed & Mobile Plant Mechanic, or Mechanical Fitter.
• Experience as Heavy vehicle / Mobile Plant Mechanic.
• Experience in diagnosis and repair of hydraulics / low voltage electrical.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing faults and performing major repairs.
• Stripping and rebuilding plant components.
• Conducting preventative maintenance and safety checks.
