Job summary

Komatsu Australia is seeking a Mobile Plant Mechanic / HD Fitter based in Emerald. You will diagnose, maintain and repair Komatsu equipment in a field service setting, working closely with customer technicians to provide practical solutions and technical advice.

You will perform diagnostic testing, record machine specifications, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. The role offers a 7:7 roster, an annualised salary plus super, a $200 per week resident allowance, and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in a mechanical/ heavy vehicle/ mobile plant trade.
• Strong hydraulics and pneumatics experience.
• Experience on trucks, trailers or heavy mobile equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair Komatsu equipment in field service.
• Provide technical advice and support to customer technicians.
• Record test results and machine specifications accurately.
• Identify and escalate machine issues as required.
• Maintain safety standards and Komatsu rules on site.
• Build relationships with customers and maintenance teams.
• Complete service, warranty and job documentation within timeframes.
• Maintain site tickets and inductions; participate in training programs.
