Idemitsu Australia operates the Boggabri Coal Mine, a surface mining site delivering substantial annual production. Trade-qualified Plant Mechanics are needed to service, diagnose and repair heavy mining equipment, ensuring reliability and safety across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Plant Mechanic with relevant certificates.
• Experience with surface mining equipment; CAT/Komatsu/Hitachi/Liebherr preferred.
• Able to pass Order 45 pre-employment medical.
• Servicing, diagnostics and repair of heavy mining equipment.
• Safety-focused; adheres to site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, diagnostics and repairs of heavy mining equipment.
• Work as part of a team to maintain mine fleet.
• Adhere to safety procedures and site rules.

BCO is an open-cut coal operation producing in excess of 7 million tonnes per annum with a mine life extending through until 2036. Located approximately 57 km from Narrabri, 60 km from Gunnedah and 120 km from Tamworth, BCO offers access to welcoming regional communities with a diverse country lifestyle.

What we're looking for:

• Trade-qualified Plant Mechanic (Trade Certificate & Certificate of Proficiency).
• Surface mining equipment experience (CAT/Komatsu/Hitachi/Liebherr highly regarded).
• Able to complete an Order 45 pre-employment medical.
• Strong team player; experienced in servicing, diagnostics and repair of heavy mining equipment.
• Proactive, efficient, and meets deadlines.
• Safety-focused; adheres to site procedures.
