Job summary

West Gippsland Linen Service, a unit of West Gippsland Healthcare Group, is seeking a Maintenance Worker/Trades Assistant for its Warragul plant. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial laundry equipment, with afternoon/evening shifts and a fixed-term contract through 30 September 2027, with potential extension.

Ideal candidates have strong maintenance experience, good communication, and flexibility to cover occasional extra hours.

Qualifications

• Experience with equipment maintenance, pneumatic, hydraulic & automation would be advantageous.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Preventive and corrective maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Complete work orders in line with guidelines and specifications.
• Provide first response to malfunctions or breakdowns across the site.
• Assist to maintain a safe and efficient plant operations.
