Job summary

Hazeldenes is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the safe, efficient operation of plant and equipment at our Bendigo site. You will assist qualified tradespeople with planned and reactive maintenance tasks and help ensure downtime is minimised.

Qualifications

• Assist maintenance tradespersons with planned and reactive tasks.
• Support GMP and food safety standards compliance.
• Maintain cleanliness of workshop and storage areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance tradespersons (fitters, electricians, and contractors) with planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Support preventative maintenance activities in accordance with the site maintenance schedule.
• Assist with plant breakdowns to ensure equipment is returned to service promptly.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks under supervision (e.g. component removal, cleaning, lubrication, part replacement, tool preparation).
• Maintain cleanliness of workshop areas, plant rooms and maintenance storage areas in line with GMP and food safety requirements.
• Safely use and maintain tools and equipment.
• Assist with installation of new equipment and plant modifications as required.
• Participate in shutdown activities and major maintenance projects.
• Support compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS), food safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Follow Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and safe working practices at all times.
• Communicate effectively with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance function.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and Area Technicians or Maintenance Manager.
