Job summary

Epworth HealthCare in Geelong is seeking a qualified tradesperson for a General Maintenance role within a hospital environment. The position covers preventive and corrective tasks, with a 38-hour week from Monday to Friday and on-call availability as experience grows.

You will inspect building services, prepare scopes of work, source quotations, and ensure spares are stocked to minimise downtime while supporting health and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified tradesperson or equivalent experience in a Building Maintenance role.
• At least 3–5 years working in a Building Maintenance environment.
• Prioritisation and time-management skills.
• Work with managers to ensure high utilisation of available technology.
• Repairs to infrastructure fabric.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out inspections of building services, plant & equipment, and/or building/fixtures.
• Preparation of scopes of work & source quotations for the required task.
• Providing first line response to all urgent requests and breakdowns.
• Procurement of spares/materials and ensure stock levels to minimise downtime.
• Participating actively and positively in health and safety in the workplace.
