Job summary

Bathurst Regional Council is seeking a Plant Coordinator to oversee the efficient management of plant, fleet and quarry resources. The role emphasises safety, compliance with regulations, quality assurance and environmental stewardship while supporting maintenance and construction programs in the Engineering Services Department.

Through effective coordination and leadership, you will help deliver infrastructure projects on schedule and within budget, with a focus on fleet productivity and cost

Qualifications

• Provide strategic and operational support to the Works Section and other operational units within the Engineering Services Department through effective planning, scheduling, allocation and monitoring of Council-owned and hired plant and equipment.
• Maximising plant utilisation and operational efficiency across all work programs.
• Coordinating plant allocation to ensure timely delivery of maintenance, construction and emergency activities.
• Monitoring plant availability, utilisation rates, downtime and performance.
• Managing plant hire arrangements and contractor interfaces for cost-effective service delivery.
• Identifying opportunities to improve fleet productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Supporting long-term plant replacement and fleet management planning.

Responsibilities
