Job summary

Woolworths Group in Sydney (Bella Vista) is seeking an Assistant Planning and Procurement Specialist to learn end-to-end supply chain across the E2E Meat business. The role offers a hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 days WFH) and opportunities to engage with beef, pork and lamb categories.

You will collaborate with Planning and Procurement Specialists to optimize material flow, forecast demand, and manage supplier relationships across the national network.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in supply chain, planning, or procurement support roles (food/FMCG/agribusiness) with basic demand/supply planning knowledge.
• Proficient in Excel and basic data tools to track metrics and guide decisions.
• Hands-on procurement tasks: raising POs, monitoring delivery, supplier communication.
• Attention to forward stock positions and flag shortages or risks.
• Quickly learn new platforms like Quintiq and Foods Connected and apply them to the red meat value chain.

Responsibilities

• Supply Network Planning: review schedules and inputs to keep the national network friction-free.
• Sourcing & Trading: forecast demand, secure deliveries, use EOIs, long-term agreements, spot buys.
• Coordinate with primary processing partners to issue production orders and align material flow.
