Woolworths Group in Sydney (Bella Vista) is seeking an Assistant Planning and Procurement Specialist to help manage end-to-end supply networks for E2E Meat. You’ll work closely with planning and procurement teams to optimise inventory, forecast demand, and coordinate with processors nationwide.

The role offers a developmental path across network planning and meat procurement, with hands-on exposure to carcass optimisation, production scheduling, and supplier engagement while building commercial

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of practical experience in supply chain, planning or procurement support.
• Proficient with Excel and basic data tools to track metrics and generate reports.
• Hands-on experience with core procurement tasks (POs, scheduling, supplier comms).
• Strong attention to detail in reviewing forward stock across sites.
• Learning agility and ability to adopt operational software like Quintiq quickly.

Responsibilities

• Supply Network Planning: review schedules and inputs to keep national network friction-free.
• Sourcing & Trading: forecast demand, determine volume needs, and schedule deliveries.
• Build Commercial Proposals: create data-driven purchasing cases with risk analyses.
• Drive Contract Flexibility: adjust terms and volumes to maximise value and resilience.
• Partner for Impact: issue POs and coordinate with suppliers and processors to resolve bottlenecks.
