Moira Shire Council is seeking a Planning and Building Compliance Officer to enforce planning and building legislation and support sustainable development across the Shire. The role requires field work, risk-based prioritisation, and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

You will provide expert guidance, engage with the community, and help promote compliant outcomes across Moira's diverse urban and rural areas. A commuter vehicle is included to facilitate field duties.

Qualificações

• Enforcement or investigations experience.
• Interpreting and enforcing planning and building legislation.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and prioritise compliance activities.
• Effective judgement, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of GIS, document management systems and complaint management systems.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver comprehensive compliance activities through enforcement, education, and community engagement.
• Act as liaison between Council, developers and industry stakeholders to explain planning and building requirements.
• Apply risk-based compliance strategies to prioritise activities and resources.
• Conduct field work across diverse urban and rural areas and work with internal teams and external stakeholders.
