Job summary

The City of Canada Bay Council invites current town planning or related degree students to join our statutory planning team in Drummoyne NSW, with scope to work full-time alongside your studies. You will review planning applications lodged via the NSW Planning Portal for completeness and accuracy.

You will support the Manager and Coordinators in improving procedures, monitor development information on Council pages, and help track applications.

Qualifications

• Commitment to town planning as a career path
• Strong organisational and customer services skills
• Experience in a diverse team in an administrative/organisational capacity
• Confidence in dealing with the public and a tactful approach

Responsibilities

• Check planning applications lodged via the NSW Planning Portal for completeness and accuracy
• Provide administrative assistance to the Statutory Planning Team in processing development applications
• Assist Manager and Coordinators in developing efficiencies and improvements to procedures
• Monitor and update development assessment information on Council’s web pages and track applications
