Job summary

Zurich Australia is hiring a Planning and Performance Analyst within the Claims business in Melbourne. You will turn data into meaningful insights, shaping performance, planning and the future direction of a key customer-facing function.

You will design reporting solutions, analyse KPIs, and develop forecasting models to drive operational excellence and strategic initiatives across a digital transformation program.

Qualifications

  • Design and implement performance measurement frameworks and reporting solutions.
  • Analyse data to identify opportunities for improvement in General Insurance.
  • Plan and schedule back-office capacity with productivity dashboards.
  • Collaborate with Claims leaders to monitor outcomes and support strategic initiatives.
  • Forecasting and financial planning experience across corporate environments.
  • Experience connecting business strategy to measurable performance outcomes and AI/digital initiatives would be highly regarded.

As a Planning and Performance Analyst within our Claims business, you'll play a key role in helping shape the performance, planning, and future direction of one of Zurich's most important customer-facing functions. Working closely with leaders and stakeholders across the business, you'll turn data into meaningful insights that support better decisions, improved customer outcomes, and stronger business performance.
This is an opportunity to influence continuous improvement at scale by developing performance frameworks, delivering valuable insights, and supporting initiatives that drive operational excellence. You'll be part of a team focused on innovation, forecasting, and digital transformation as we continue to enhance the way we support our customers and communities.
You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Designing and enhancing reporting solutions that deliver actionable operational, financial, customer and compliance insights.
  • Analysing performance trends, KPIs and key business metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Undertaking workforce capacity planning and scheduling of back-office functions, including development and maintenance of operational productivity dashboards.
  • Partnering with Claims leaders to monitor performance outcomes and support delivery of strategic initiatives
  • Supporting planning and forecasting activities through accurate analysis and stakeholder collaboration
  • Developing forecasting models and performance monitoring tools that strengthen decision-making
  • Contributing to AI, automation and advanced analytics initiatives that create measurable business value

To be successful, you will have the following:
  • Experience designing and implementing performance measurement frameworks and reporting solutions
  • Proven experience analysing and interpreting data within a General Insurance environment
  • Experience with back-office workforce planning and scheduling.
  • Strong financial analysis, forecasting and planning experience gained over multiple years in a corporate environment
  • Advanced capability using SQL and Power BI to develop insights, reporting and performance dashboards
  • Demonstrated ability to connect business strategy with measurable performance outcomes and initiatives
  • Experience working with digital, automation or AI-driven solutions would be highly regarded
