Job summary

SNA Enterprises Pty Ltd, trading as The Pizza Box Altona, is seeking an experienced Cook to join its fast-paced Altona kitchen team. You will prepare and cook menu items, maintain consistent quality and portioning, and support daily operations during busy service periods.

Location: 45 Civic Parade, Altona VIC 3018. This is a Full-Time role with AU$75,000 to AU$86,000 per annum plus superannuation. A Commercial Cookery qualification and 1–2 years' relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related discipline.
• Ability to maintain consistent food quality, portioning and presentation.
• Experience in fast-paced kitchen or hospitality settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of menu items in accordance with recipes.
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and cooking equipment.
• Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality.
• Season food to maintain consistent taste and quality.
• Portion and present meals to established standards.
• Prepare food to meet dietary requirements and customer requests.
• Monitor ingredient usage and assist with estimating daily needs.
• Store, handle and rotate food in temperature-controlled areas.
• Maintain clean, hygienic work areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures at all times.
