Job summary

GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) is seeking a Piping Supervisor to join our growing site-based team across Australia. You will report to the Construction Manager, oversee piping construction, ensure compliance with GRES standards, and maintain safety and quality on busy project sites.

The role requires at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity, Australian recognised trade qualifications, and current High Risk Work Licences.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a supervisory role is required.
  • Australian recognised Trade Qualification is essential.
  • White card is required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead effectively are essential.
  • Proven leadership experience is expected.
  • Current High Risk Work Licences are required.
  • Current National Police clearance (within 6 months) is required.
  • S26 Supervisors certificates are essential.
  • Current First Aid certificate is required.
  • Must pass Medical and DAS.
  • Full unrestricted Australian working rights – no sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and evaluate workmanship and quality.
  • Oversee the Piping (SMP) construction to ensure compliance with GRES standards.
  • Enforce safe work practices and ensure training and support for personnel; meet HSE standards.
  • Keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Lead by example and promote Safe Work Practices.

The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for Piping Supervisors to join our growing site-based team for projects across Australia.


As one of our supervisors, you would report directly to the Construction Manager, the successful candidates will need high attention to detail and quality, and the ability to prioritise their workload in a busy and dynamic working environment.


This role will be on a roster of 2:1 ex Perth or other major cities.

Key Responsibilities


  • Supervise and evaluate workmanship and quality

  • Oversee the Piping (SMP) construction, ensuring that it is in compliance with GRES standards

  • Enforce safe work practices, ensuring that all personnel are adequately trained and supported and that HSE standards are met

  • Ensure that the project is kept on schedule and within budget

  • Actively participate and lead by example \"Safe Work Practices\" and behaviour


Skills/Qualifications


  • Experience in a similar role, with at least 5 years' experience in a Supervisory role

  • Australian recognised Trade Qualification *essential

  • White card

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver the message effectively

  • Proven leadership skills

  • Current High Risk Work Licences

  • Current National Police clearance (within 6 months)

  • Relevant Supervisors certificates for S26 *essential

  • Current First Aid certificate

  • Ability to pass a Medical and DAS

  • Full and unrestricted Australian working rights *essential - no sponsorship available
