Job summary

NGARE EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS PTY LTD is seeking a skilled field services technician to safely execute pipeline maintenance, electrical works, cathodic protection surveys and related inspections. You will perform PLC fault finding, meter validations and DCVG surveys while meeting quality, safety and regulatory requirements.

Experience in the gas industry and remote-site work is highly regarded; strong communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Electrical Work License or Electrician trade certificate.
• Cert III in Electro Technology or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in gas industry or related electrical, instrumentation, PLC, meter validations and gas appliances.
• Type B Industrial Gas Course to install, commission and maintain Type B gas appliances (Desirable).
• CP1 Cathodic Protection Tester qualification (Desirable).
• Experience in gas industry especially pipeline inspection and maintenance.
• Safety-focused approach with adherence to regulations.
• Experience working in remote areas.
• Ability to work unsupervised with good time management.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to develop varied skills.
• Clear written and oral communication skills.
• Good computer literacy.
• Experience communicating with landowners and occupiers.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently perform field services on pipelines and external clients, including maintenance, electrical works, cathodic protection surveys, DCVG surveys, PLC fault finding and calibration, and meter validations.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, community and stakeholder requirements while meeting quality, operability, schedule and cost targets.
• Follow statutory and regulatory guidelines and work in remote locations as needed.
• Communicate effectively with landowners and occupiers and maintain good documentation.
