Job summary

Shell in Queensland, Australia seeks an experienced E&I Technician to execute maintenance across electrical, instrumentation, control and safety systems for LNG assets. You will perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance, calibrations, testing and handovers following approved procedures and safety rules.

The role emphasizes safe energization, shutdown planning, CMMS data recording and collaboration with Operations, Engineering and Contractors.

Qualifications

Current Electrical Licence recognised by the Queensland Electrical Licensing Board.
Certificate III/IV Instrumentation or equivalent instrumentation competency.
Experience in LNG, oil and gas, petrochemical, utilities, mining, heavy industry or process plant environments.
EEHA certification and demonstrated electrical/instrumentation maintenance experience.
Current First Aid and LV Rescue, where required for the role.
Valid driver licence.
Experience with Permit to Work systems, electrical isolations, JHA/JSA and safe systems of work.
HV, QMI, cathodic protection, PLC, analyzer or specialist equipment capability.

Responsibilities

Maintain HSSE standards and electrical safety controls.
Perform preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance on electrical/instrumentation systems.
Inspect, diagnose, repair and test LV systems and instrumentation.
Support shutdowns, planning and handovers during maintenance.
Record as-found/as-left data in CMMS and drive reliability improvements.
Coach and support apprentices and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
