Mass Resources is seeking experienced Civil Pipelayers for ongoing projects across Melbourne and surrounding areas. You will install underground sewerage, drainage and water infrastructure, reading drawings, setting out pipe runs and joining pipework to project specs.

You will work with a crew on established civil sites, maintaining safety with trenching, shoring and SWMS. Immediate starts and long-term opportunities are available for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pipelayer on civil construction projects, involving sewerage, drainage and water infrastructure.
• RII30920 Certificate III in Civil Construction (Pipe Laying) highly regarded.
• RIICRC208E - Lay Pipes or equivalent competencies.
• Plumbing qualification desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and project specs.

Responsabilités

• Install underground sewerage, stormwater drainage and water mains per drawings and specs.
• Set out pipe runs, check line, level and alignment.
• Prepare trenches and bedding for correct foundation and grade.
• Install and join underground pipework, fittings and pits.
• Assist trench preparation and installation of underground services.
• Work with trench shoring and safety equipment.
• Coordinate with excavators, supervisors and other trades.
• Maintain clean, safe site and SWMS compliance.

Mass Resources is currently seeking experienced Civil Pipelayers for ongoing civil construction projects across Melbourne and surrounding areas.

We are looking for skilled pipelayers with experience installing underground sewerage, stormwater drainage and water infrastructure. These are excellent opportunities for workers seeking consistent hours and ongoing work on established civil construction projects.

About the Role

Working as part of an established civil construction crew, you will be responsible for the installation of underground pipework and associated civil infrastructure.

Your duties will include:

• Installing underground sewerage, stormwater drainage and water mains in accordance with engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Setting out pipe runs, checking line, level, grade and alignment using laser levels and other measuring equipment.
• Preparing trenches and pipe bedding to ensure correct foundation, depth and grade requirements.
• Installing, aligning and joining underground pipework, fittings, valves, pits, manholes and associated drainage structures.
• Assisting with excavation, trench preparation and the installation of underground services.
• Installing and working with trench support systems, shoring and trench boxes where required.
• Working closely with excavator operators, labourers, supervisors and other civil trades to coordinate installation works.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe worksite while complying with SWMS and all site safety procedures.

To Be Successful You Will Have

• Previous experience as a Pipelayer on civil construction projects, involving sewerage, drainage and water infrastructure.
• RII30920 Certificate III in Civil Construction (Pipe Laying) - highly regarded.
• As a minimum, hold RIICRC208E - Lay Pipes and RIICCM210E - Install Trench Support, or equivalent recognised competencies.
• Plumbing qualification (desirable but not essential).
• Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings, pipe layouts and specifications.
• Experience with pipe installation, bedding, alignment, levelling and joining techniques.
• Construction White Card.
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
• Competent with hand and power tools.
• Strong understanding of excavation and trench safety requirements.
• Ability to undertake physically demanding work and work effectively within a civil construction crew.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
• Australian working rights suitable for ongoing employment.
