Job summary

Prost is seeking an experienced Pipelayer & Hands on Foreman to join our civil construction team in Melbourne. The role involves laying sewer mains and water main work, reading plans, and maintaining a high standard of workmanship across projects in West, North, and regional Victoria, including Bendigo 2-3 times per year.

Ideal candidates will have MRWA knowledge, ability to work independently, and possess a White Card with civil tickets (excavator/loader highly regarded).

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering sewer mains; water main experience a bonus.
• Strong knowledge of MRWA requirements and specifications.
• Ability to read plans, grades, levels and construction drawings.
• Experience with pipe bedding, jointing, fittings, connections and backfill.
• Experience around manholes, maintenance structures, valves, hydrants and live services.
• Able to work independently and maintain high workmanship standards.
• Willing to work across Melbourne and other Victorian infrastructure projects in regional districts.
• White Card required; excavator, loader and other civil tickets highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lay sewer mains and assist on water main projects as required.
• Read and interpret plans, grades and construction drawings.
• Maintain high workmanship standards across civil sites.
• Travel across Melbourne and regional Victoria for projects (LAHA when needed).
• Operate with safety and diligence on live sewer works.

We Are looking to fill the following Roles

We’re looking for an experienced Pipelayer & Hands on Foreman (live Sewer) to join our civil construction team, initially working on projects in the West and North with occasional LAHA work in Bendigo (2-3 times per year)

This role is suited to someone who has genuine experience delivering water and sewer infrastructure and understands the standards expected on authority and major civil projects.

What we’re looking for:

Strong experience laying sewer mains - water main experience a bonus

Ability to read plans, grades, levels and construction drawings

Experience with pipe bedding, jointing, fittings, connections and backfill
