Job summary

Fetch Recruitment is seeking experienced Pipe Layers to join their civil team around South Brisbane. You will install and connect drainage, stormwater and sewer pipes, aligning trenches and ensuring safe, efficient work on active projects.

Proven competency in pipe installation, attention to quality, and teamwork is essential. Roles require physical work, weekend OT availability, and adherence to safety standards; PPE is provided, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in installing and connecting drainage, stormwater, and sewer pipes.
• Ability to work across varied site conditions and adapt to changing requirements.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and use hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Excavate trenches with suitable tools and ensure correct depth and alignment.
• Install pipes and apply joining methods accurately.
• Connect pipes to manholes and other components.
• Ensure proper grading and alignment of sewer pipes for optimal flow.
• Backfill trenches and compact soil to restore the area.
• Collaborate with teammates and maintain project workflow.
• Follow safety protocols and keep a clean work area.
• Identify and report issues during pipe laying.

Job description

This leading Civil company are seeking experienced Pipe Layers (Drainage, Stormwater, Sewer) to join their growing team in and around South Brisbane. As a Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for installing and connecting pipes accurately and efficiently. Your expertise in pipe installation techniques, adherence to safety protocols, and attention to quality will be vital in ensuring the successful completion of the projects.

Responsibilities

• Excavate trenches using appropriate tools and equipment, ensuring proper depth and alignment.
• Install pipes accurately, applying the appropriate joining methods and techniques.
• Connect pipes to manholes, inspection chambers, and other system components.
• Ensure proper grading and alignment of sewer pipes for effective flow.
• Backfill trenches and compact soil to restore the area to its original condition.
• Collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively to maintain project workflow.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Identify and report any issues or challenges encountered during the pipe laying process.
