Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking an experienced pipe layer for subdivision and infrastructure projects across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay areas. The role focuses on installation, testing and technical guidance in laying stormwater, sewerage and water reticulation systems on subdivision projects.

Key duties include bedding, backfilling, cutting, fitting and welding poly pipe, conducting testing, and ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a civil environment.
• Ability to interpret plans and communicate contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of bedding, support and backfilling of stormwater, sewerage and water reticulation.
• Cut, fit and weld poly pipe using welding equipment/methods/technology, and ensuring pipe class is suitable for water main application.
• Providing testing to systems and mains, and submit required paperwork associated with the works for compliance.
• Ability to interpret plans and communicate contract requirements with other staff.
• Under guidance from site Supervisor/Foreman, repair minor defects and provide advice to ensure correct method and materials used are suitable for the particular application and environment.
• Strong understanding of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
