Job summary

The Baked Group is seeking an experienced Pastry Cook / Pie Maker in Portsea to join our bakery team. Your main focus will be producing pies for our retail store and growing wholesale business, with other pastries like sausage rolls, cakes and slices.

You’ll work to production schedules and maintain high-quality presentation. We value hands-on experience making pies, accuracy with recipes, and a willingness to learn our methods.

Qualifications

• Proven, hands-on experience making pies.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking pie fillings, including meat fillings.
• Following existing recipes and helping develop new fillings and flavours.
• Making pastry and assembling, finishing and baking pies.
• Producing sausage rolls, cakes, slices and other pastries.
• Working to production schedules to meet retail and wholesale orders.
• Maintaining consistent product quality, portion sizes and presentation.
• Following food safety, cleaning and stock rotation procedures.
• Keeping your workspace organised and reducing avoidable waste.
