Job summary

Bidfood Morwell is looking for reliable pick packers for a casual afternoon shift (4pm–12am) in our busy warehouse. You will pick and pack orders, move between dry, chilled and frozen zones, and help ensure timely deliveries.

You should be physically fit, reliable and able to follow instructions. Experience in a warehouse or picking is helpful, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are most important.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Willingness to learn and be part of a team.
• Experience in picking, packing or similar roles is advantageous.
• Forklift licence is a plus.

This is a casual role working the afternoon shift - 4pm to 12am, helping out in our busy warehouse during the Christmas period.

Bidfood is Australia’s leading foodservice distributor, and so this role involves picking and packing orders for some of the country’s busiest cafés, restaurants and institutions. It suits someone who wants to work hard, stay active and be part of a well-run operation – without being stuck behind a desk.

About the role

This role is all about getting customer orders ready quickly, accurately and with care. You’ll work in freezer, chiller and dry areas, helping make sure deliveries go out on time, every time.

Your day will include:

• Picking and assembling orders to spec
• Moving between dry, chilled and frozen zones
• Keeping your area clean, organised and safe
• Helping your team meet daily targets
• Supporting the warehouse team when needed

You might have experience in a warehouse, kitchen or similar fast-paced environment, but the most important thing is your attitude. If you’re reliable, willing to learn and ready to work, we’ll show you the rest.

Skills and experience

You’ll bring a solid work ethic, a practical mindset and the ability to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will also be:

• Current forklift licence advantageous
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
• Have good time management and attention to detail
• Able to follow instructions and meet daily targets
• Comfortable working in cold environments (down to -25°C)
• Previous warehouse or picking experience is a bonus, but not a must
