Job summary

Department of Education’s Thriving Kids program is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to support children aged 0–8 with developmental delay or autism. You will assess, intervene and provide advice in family-centered ways, building parents' skills and confidence to support daily activities and participation.

Qualifications

• Qualifications and eligibility for registration/membership as a Physiotherapist.
• Knowledge and experience in child development, early intervention and child- and family-centred practice.
• Experience working with children aged 0-8 years and their families/carers.
• Ability to apply sound clinical reasoning and evidence-informed Physiotherapist assessment, intervention and advice.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with families, professionals and services.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-informed Physiotherapist assessment, intervention and advice tailored to each child and family.
• Work alongside families to build parents' and carers' knowledge, skills and confidence.
• Deliver targeted, time-limited allied health support focused on everyday life and participation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate responses across services.
