Job summary

Department of Education Victoria is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist for the Thriving Kids program in Melton, VIC. You will work with children aged 0–8 years and their families to provide practical, evidence-informed support that enhances development and participation in everyday life.

You will collaborate with educators, health and community partners to deliver coordinated, time-limited interventions, respecting cultural safety and family priorities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and early intervention principles.
• Experience applying family-centered practice with children 0–8 years.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with families and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Bring clinical expertise to early intervention with tailored assessment and advice.
• Work with families to build parents' knowledge, skills and confidence.
• Deliver targeted, time-limited support to help children participate in daily life.
• Collaborate across home, early childhood and school settings to adapt support.
• Join a multidisciplinary team and draw on allied health knowledge for coordinated responses.
• Build partnerships with early childhood services, schools and health services.
