Job summary

Calvary Health Care Kogarah is seeking a Physiotherapist to plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality care across CHCK services including IRU, DRU and TACS. The role is a 12-month parental leave fixed-term, predominantly Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday work within IRU.

You will work within NSW Health/SESLHD policies, support students on placement, and contribute to quality improvement projects. Casual pool options may be available to backfill leave, with a values-based, patient-centred

Qualifications

• Experience as a Physiotherapist in hospital settings or aging populations.
• AHPRA registered with current unrestricted practice in NSW.
• Current NSW Class C driver’s licence or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver physiotherapy education to patients, families, and staff.
• Provide guidance to clinicians and students on clinical placement and experience.
• Participate in quality improvement projects across the Local Health District or hospital.

About the role

Plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality Physiotherapy care to patients/clients consistent with Calvary Health Care Kogarah (CHCK), NSW Health and South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards. This position will rotate across services within CHCK including but not limited to Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IRU), Day Rehabilitation Unit (DRU) and Transitional Aged Care Service (TACS). The Parental Leave role will be for 12 months, full-time until November 2027. The role is predominantly Monday-Friday but does include some Saturday working as part of IRU. We are also looking for CASUAL Physiotherapists to add to our Casual Pool usage, to backfill Leave. Your main duties will include:Plan and deliver Physiotherapy education to patients/clients, their support people (families and or carers), and other health care professionals. Provide support and guidance to clinicians and to students on clinical placement and work experience as required. Participate in Quality Improvement projects across the LHD, within the hospital or the department as required.

About you

Experience working as a Physiotherapist in Hospital or with an Aging population. Qualifications in accordance with NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Professional and Associated Staff Agreement 2022 and AHPRA registration. Current unrestricted NSW Class C drivers’ licence or equivalent. Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
