Job summary

Calvary Health Care Kogarah is seeking a Physiotherapist to plan and deliver high-quality care across inpatient and rehabilitation services. The role rotates within CHCK units including IRU, DRU and TACS, and may involve working on Saturdays as part of IRU.

The role is a 12-month parental leave position, predominantly Monday to Friday, with full-time hours and opportunities to support a caseload within a supportive team and apply NSW Health policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Registration with AHPRA is required to practice as a Physiotherapist.
• Experience in a hospital setting or with aging populations is preferred.
• Current unrestricted NSW Class C driver’s licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Physiotherapy education to patients/clients, families and health professionals.
• Provide guidance to clinicians and students on clinical placement and work experience.
• Participate in Quality Improvement projects across the Local Health District.

About the role

Plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality Physiotherapy care to patients/clients consistent with Calvary Health Care Kogarah (CHCK), NSW Health and South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.

This position will rotate across services within CHCK including but not limited to Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IRU), Day Rehabilitation Unit (DRU) and Transitional Aged Care Service (TACS).

The Parental Leave role will be for 12 months, full-time until November 2027. The role is predominantly Monday-Friday but does include some Saturday working as part of IRU.

We are also looking for CASUAL Physiotherapists to add to our Casual Pool usage, to backfill Leave.

Your main duties will include:

• Plan and deliver Physiotherapy education to patients/clients, their support people (families and or carers), and other health care professionals.
• Provide support and guidance to clinicians and to students on clinical placement and work experience as required.
• Participate in Quality Improvement projects across the LHD, within the hospital or the department as required.

About you

• Experience working as a Physiotherapist in Hospital or with an Aging population.
• Qualifications in accordance with NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Professional and Associated Staff Agreement 2022 and AHPRA registration.
• Current unrestricted NSW Class C drivers' licence or equivalent.
• Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
