Job summary

Serco Victoria’s Defence health network seeks a Physiotherapist for the Puckapunyal Health Centre on a 0.4 FTE basis. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering on-base, evidence-based physiotherapy to Defence members.

The role requires at least 2 years of musculoskeletal post-graduate experience, current AHPRA registration, HLTAID009 CPR, and adherence to Defence policies and confidentiality. Civilian role with on-base parking and scrubs provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ post-graduate musculoskeletal experience within the last 5 years.
• Current, unconditional registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA.
• CPR certificate HLTAID009.
• Australian Citizenship required for Baseline Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of evidence-based physiotherapy assessments, treatments and rehabilitative services.
• Work with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries focusing on functional rehabilitation and return to work.
• Coordinate patient administration, records and clinic operations.
• Support multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Defence policies, procedures and confidentiality.

About PuckapunyalHealth Centre

Puckapunyal Military Area is located approximately 13km west of Seymour. This was first used as a mobilisation and training area during WWI and by 1939, and was formally established in the early 1940’s. It is home to the Headquarters of the Combined Arms Training Centre, Army Knowledge Centre and Schools of Artillery & Transport. The health centre services up to 4000 Defence members and provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, physiotherapy, dental, pharmaceutical and mental health. There is a 12 bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).This is a part time position every Monday and Friday.

• Work with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries with a focus on functional rehabilitation and returning members to their work and exercise goals.
• Coordinate patient administration, records, and clinic operations
• Support multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient service delivery
• Ensure compliance with Defence policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards

What you bring

• At least 2 years’ part-time or full-time equivalent post-graduate musculoskeletal experience within the last 5 years
• A current, unconditional registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
• Recent engagement in Continuing Professional Development activities aligned with AHPRA guidelines
• A current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID009)
• Membership with the Australian Physiotherapy Association (preferred)
• Australian Citizenship required for Baseline Security Clearance
