Job summary

Uniting AgeWell is seeking a Physiotherapist to deliver centre-based and home-based services for clients aged 65+ across Waurn Ponds and surrounding regions. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support independence, using evidence-based practices and goal-directed interventions.

You will have AHPRA registration, a recognised physiotherapy qualification, and capacity to manage an individual caseload while complying with safety and NDIS/SAH requirements.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration and recognised physiotherapy qualification.
• Experience delivering physiotherapy in community aged care is preferred.
• Ability to manage an independent caseload within a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver centre-based and home-based physiotherapy to clients aged 65+ across SAH and CHSP.
• Provide strengths-based, goal-directed interventions to support independence.
• Collaborate with the Allied Health team and scheduling staff and participate in supervision.

About the role:

Based out of our new community hub in Waurn Ponds, you will deliver centre-based and home-based Physiotherapy services for clients aged 65+ across multiple funding streams, including Support at Home (SAH) and CHSP. The role focuses on strengths-based, goal-directed interventions that support independence. Travel requirements may vary based on service demand and client need across the region.

This is an ongoing permanent Full time position. You will receive regular one-to-one supervision from the Practice Lead and be supported by a team of physiotherapists, the Allied Health scheduling team, the Operations Manager, and local on‑site staff.

About You:

You are a physiotherapist with strong clinical skills and a client-centred approach. You work to evidence-based standards, manage change well, and contribute positively to team culture. You seek feedback, value learning, and are committed to supporting older adults to achieve their goals.

• Current registration with AHPRA
• Recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy
• Experience in Community Aged Care with HCP/SAH clients
• Knowledge of practice with clients aged 65+
• Ability to manage an individual caseload independently
• Have full Australian working rights and are able to pass a national police clearance
• Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
• A valid driver's license and access to a car

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

• A current Working With Children Check card / Vulnerable People card
• Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
• Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
