Job summary

The University of Wollongong (UOW) is seeking a Technical Officer to provide high-quality lab and technical support for Human Physiology teaching at the Liverpool Campus. This role covers lab planning, practical class delivery, equipment upkeep, anatomy teaching resources and safe setup/pack-down to create a productive learning environment for students and staff.

Your responsibilities include assisting physiology practicals, maintaining and calibrating equipment, supporting anatomy labs,

Qualifications

• Qualifications or equivalent experience in Health, Medical Science, Exercise Science, Science or a related field.
• Experience supporting laboratory operations, including use, maintenance and calibration of physiology teaching equipment.
• Sound understanding of laboratory safety, WHS requirements and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Human Physiology practical laboratory teaching.
• Prepare, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and teaching resources.
• Support anatomy teaching resources and laboratory operations.
• Manage laboratory inventories, procurement, maintenance and repairs.
• Promote safe, compliant and efficient laboratory environments.
