Job summary

St John the Evangelist Catholic Parish Primary School, Campbelltown, NSW, is seeking a Primary Teacher - Physical Education for a temporary part-time appointment. The role supports faith growth and learning, helping students reach their potential.

A temporary part time position commencing 28 January 2027 until 26 January 2028.

The role of The Physical Education Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

• Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
• Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
• Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in Physical Education.
• Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
• Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.
• Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
• The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
