Job summary

Nexigen Digital is seeking a Software Engineer to join a close, agile team on the Gold Coast. You will deliver secure, scalable PHP code and contribute to both internal and customer-facing systems.

The role involves maintaining core billing and CRM platforms, collaborating with product managers, and integrating external APIs. A strong PHP background, MVC knowledge, and experience with Laravel, Symfony, or Phalcon are essential.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of PHP development experience (personal or self-taught considered).
• Strong PHP understanding and MVC patterns.
• Experience with Laravel, Symfony, Phalcon.
• Comfort with Linux environments and command line.
• Good MySQL/MariaDB relational DB design and schemas.
• Experience integrating external APIs and services.
• Git and Git hosting platforms (e.g., GitHub).
• Ability to collaborate in a team and follow established processes.
• Respect PER Coding Style guidelines and write thorough tests.
• Avoid ego-driven development and maintain high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build secure, scalable code for multiple platforms.
• Work with PHP technologies including Laravel 12 and PHP 8.4.
• Maintain and improve core billing, CRM, and domain platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to scope, test, and deploy features.
• Integrate external providers and suppliers.
