Job summary

Nexigen Digital, Australia’s largest privately-owned group of online service providers, seeks a Software Engineer to join a close, agile team delivering features for our billing, CRM and domain platforms. You’ll build secure, scalable PHP code and collaborate across projects while learning and growing in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of PHP development experience (self-taught or formal).
• Strong understanding of PHP and MVC design patterns.
• Experience with Laravel, Symfony, and Phalcon.
• Proficient with Linux environments and command line.
• Solid MySQL/MariaDB knowledge and database schema design.
• Experience integrating external APIs into existing projects.
• GIT and GitHub usage with version control best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and follow coding standards.
• Familiar with PER Coding Style guidelines.
• Great attention to detail and thorough self-testing before handover.

Responsibilities

• Build secure, scalable PHP code across platforms.
• Work with Laravel 12 and PHP 8.4 in the stack.
• Maintain and improve core billing and CRM systems and domain platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to scope, build, test, and deploy features.
• Tackle complex integration scenarios with external providers and suppliers.
• Learn and adopt new technologies and practices.
