Job summary

Just Digital People seeks an experienced PHP/Laravel Developer to join an established Australian not-for-profit on a 12-month fixed term contract. Brisbane or Melbourne with hybrid working options.

You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with developers and stakeholders to design, build, test and improve web-based solutions that support communities nationwide.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Solid object-oriented PHP development.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON and web services.
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Git and modern development practices.
• Exposure to Docker and Linux environments.
• Experience working within an Agile development team.
• An understanding of web accessibility and responsive web development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A genuine interest in using technology to create positive social impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and improve web-based solutions as part of a collaborative development team.
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle with stakeholders to deliver quality software.
• Work with other developers to implement robust and scalable web applications.
• Participate in code reviews and adopt modern development practices.

PHP / Laravel Developer - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Brisbane or Melbourne| Hybrid

Just Digital People are looking for an experienced PHP/Laravel Developer to join an established Australian not-for-profit organisation on a 12-month fixed term contract.

You'll be joining a collaborative development team working on web applications and digital products that support organisations and communities across Australia. This is a great opportunity for a developer who enjoys building quality software and wants to work on technology that has a genuine purpose behind it.

You'll be involved across the full development lifecycle, working alongside other developers and stakeholders to design, build, test and improve web-based solutions.

What you will ideally bring:

• Strong commercial experience with PHP and Laravel
• Solid experience with object-oriented PHP development
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON and web services
