Job summary

Just Digital People is seeking an experienced PHP/Laravel Developer to join an established Australian not-for-profit organisation on a 12-month fixed term contract. You’ll work on web applications and digital products that support communities across Australia, joining a collaborative team across the full development lifecycle.

You’ll bring strong PHP/Laravel experience, OO PHP and REST API skills, and a passion for building quality software with social impact in a hybrid Brisbane/Melbourne

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Solid OO PHP development experience.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON and web services.
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases, PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Git and modern development practices.
• Exposure to Docker and Linux environments.
• Experience working within an Agile development team.
• Understanding of web accessibility and responsive web development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A genuine interest in using technology to create positive social impact.

Just Digital People are looking for an experienced PHP/Laravel Developer to join an established Australian not-for-profit organisation on a 12-month fixed term contract.

You’ll be joining a collaborative development team working on web applications and digital products that support organisations and communities across Australia. This is a great opportunity for a developer who enjoys building quality software and wants to work on technology that has a genuine purpose behind it.

You’ll be involved across the full development lifecycle, working alongside other developers and stakeholders to design, build, test and improve web-based solutions.

What you will ideally bring:

• Strong commercial experience with PHP and Laravel
• Solid experience with object-oriented PHP development
• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON and web services
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
• Experience with Git and modern development practices
• Exposure to Docker and Linux environments
• Experience working within an Agile development team
• An understanding of web accessibility and responsive web development
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
