The training program, recognized by ASHP and the Department of Labor, guides you toward PTCB certification and a professional career in pharmacy through hands-on practice, coursework, and supervised experience.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and assist with cash registers when needed.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Enter patient and drug information, ensure accuracy, and help with scheduling workflow.
• Assist with inventory management and maintain proper handling of medications.
• Support clinical services and coordination with healthcare providers as required.
