Job summary

Petbarn is seeking an experienced Pet Stylist to join Box Hillsalon on a full-time or part-time basis. You’ll clip and groom across breeds with supervision, while supporting team development and daily salon operations. A two-hour grooming trial is part of the recruitment process.

The role offers a modern, air-conditioned salon, staff discounts, paid parental leave, a Certificate III in Pet Grooming, uniform and equipment, and a stable income 52 weeks a year.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional grooming experience.
• Confident clipping and scissoring across breeds without supervision.
• Ability to manage consultations, quotes, bookings and day-to-day tasks.

What we’re looking for

• At least 1 year of professional grooming experience
• The ability to complete all grooming services confidently and without supervision
• Advanced knowledge of grooming techniques, equipment, and breed and coat types
• Confidence managing consultations, quotes, bookings, invoicing, ordering, and other day-to-day operational tasks
• The ability to support salon operations and contribute to effective team management
• The ability to complete 4–6 grooming services per day

As part of the recruitment process, you will be asked to complete a two-hour grooming trial.
