Job summary

Mars is seeking a commercially minded Customer Marketing Manager to join its Royal Canin Pet Specialty Retail team in Melbourne. You will unite shopper, customer and category insights to shape marketing strategies that grow partnerships and deliver omnichannel experiences across the pet specialty channel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years' experience in Customer Marketing, Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, or a related commercial function.
• Experience in FMCG, consumer goods or retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer marketing strategy and activation plans for key Pet Specialty Retail customers.
• Translate customer, shopper and category insights into joint business growth opportunities.
• Develop and execute annual customer marketing plans, campaigns and retailer activations.
• Adapt brand and portfolio strategies into customer-specific programs that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Drive omnichannel activations across in-store, digital shelf, retail media, loyalty and other retailer touchpoints.
• Partner with retailers to enhance digital commerce performance through Perfect Digital Store principles, improving traffic, conversion and basket growth.
• Manage customer marketing investment and A&CP budgets, ensuring strong ROI and effectiveness tracking.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retailer marketing teams and key stakeholders.
• Support retailer conferences, customer engagement initiatives and brand immersion experiences.
• Champion customer and shopper needs internally to ensure alignment across business priorities.
