Job summary

Mars Incorporated, in partnership with Royal Canin, seeks a commercially minded Customer Marketing Manager to unite shopper, customer and category insights. Based in Melbourne, you will develop and execute strategic plans that drive growth and strengthen retailer partnerships across the pet specialty channel.

You'll lead annual plans, campaigns and activations, collaborate with Sales, Brand, Finance and digital teams, and ensure programs deliver measurable ROI while enhancing omnichannel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
• Approx 3+ years' experience in Customer Marketing, Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing or related commercial function.
• Experience within FMCG, consumer goods or retail environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Strong project management, presentation and communication capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer marketing strategy and activation plans for key Pet Specialty Retail customers.
• Translate customer, shopper and category insights into joint business growth opportunities.
• Develop and execute annual customer marketing plans, campaigns, promotions and retailer activations.
• Adapt brand and portfolio strategies into customer-specific programs that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Drive omnichannel activations across in-store, digital shelf, retail media, loyalty and other retailer touchpoints.
• Partner with retailers to enhance digital commerce performance through Perfect Digital Store principles, improving traffic, conversion and basket growth.
• Manage customer marketing investment and A&CP budgets, ensuring strong ROI and effectiveness tracking.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retailer marketing teams and key stakeholders.
• Support retailer conferences, customer engagement initiatives and brand immersion experiences.
• Champion customer and shopper needs internally to ensure alignment across business priorities
