Protech Pest Control in Melbourne is seeking a motivated Pest Control Technician or Trainee to join our growing team on a full-time basis. You will work across residential, commercial and industrial sites, with practical training and ongoing support to progress toward industry licensing.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting residential, commercial and industrial properties for pest activity
• Identifying pests, evidence of activity, entry points and potential harbourage areas
• Carrying out pest management services for rodents, crawling insects, flying insects and other common pests
• Providing customers with practical recommendations and pest prevention advice
• Safely preparing and applying pest management products in accordance with company procedures and applicable requirements
• Completing detailed service reports and maintaining accurate records
• Communicating professionally with customers and site representatives
• Following company safety procedures and customer site requirements
• Maintaining company vehicles, equipment and work areas in a clean and professional condition
• Participating in ongoing practical, technical and industry training

Pest Control Technician / Trainee – Full Time

Protech Pest Control is looking for a motivated and reliable Pest Control Technician or Trainee Pest Control Technician to join our Melbourne-based team.

We welcome applications from both experienced/licensed pest control technicians and individuals who are looking to start a long-term career in the pest management industry.

For applicants new to the industry, previous pest control experience is not essential, as practical training, ongoing support and assistance towards industry qualifications and licensing will be provided to the right person.

Experienced technicians will have the opportunity to work independently across a diverse range of residential, commercial and industrial sites while continuing to develop their technical skills within an established pest management company.

About the Role

Depending on your current level of experience and licensing, your responsibilities may include:

• Inspecting residential, commercial and industrial properties for pest activity
• Identifying pests, evidence of activity, entry points and potential harbourage areas
• Carrying out pest management services for rodents, crawling insects, flying insects and other common pests

For trainee applicants, you will initially work alongside experienced technicians while developing the practical knowledge and competencies required to progress towards becoming a qualified Pest Control Technician.

For experienced technicians, your duties will be tailored to your existing skills, qualifications and licensing, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility as you develop within the business.

For trainee applicants, previous experience within pest control, trades, maintenance, construction, landscaping or another practical field may be advantageous; however, no previous pest control experience is required.
